Tehran University of Medical Sciences Monitors Biobank Studies at IAARI
Representatives of the Research and Technology Management Department of Tehran University of Medical Sciences visited IAARI to evaluate the performance of its biobanks. The center has several biobanks, including the cell and DNA bank, the serum bank for food allergy patients, and the HLA bank. The representatives offered some suggestions to address the challenges faced by biobanks, such as the lack of long-term storage of samples, the need for ethical standards, and the improvement of transparency and accountability. IAARI is a leading institution for conducting basic, epidemiological, and clinical research in the fields of immunology, asthma, and allergy.
